Time for a Spark Break

Hello wonderful people! I hadn't planned to make this declaration quite so soon, but the time has come for me to take a little break from the weekly Sparks. As you may already know, I'm expecting my first child in June. These final weeks of preparation are so sweet and lovely, and I'm finding myself wanting to spend less and less time on my computer. I feel myself turning inward and getting quieter. My desires and energy levels are shifting, and I want to honor and be responsive to this season.

I can't say with certainty when I'll return to making regular weekly videos. It feels right to leave things wide open as I'm at the edge of such a huge life transition. I'm guessing in the coming months there may be blog posts and videos here and there, as inspiration strikes. We shall see!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here. For reading and watching what I share. For allowing me the space to ebb and flow. Whatever this next chapter holds for you and for me, I trust it will be exactly what we all need.

Enjoy this time…I don’t know what it’s like, personally, but I witnessed my stepdaughter as she went through the final weeks of her pregnancy and it was special, for sure!

It’s so close…and I had chills and tears in my eyes when I read the above post…how great it is that you have the ability to trust yourself at this time in your life. Well, this sounds a lot like “intuitive birthing” to me! :) I have been excited for you guys from the day I heard the news and I am so glad you are listening to your deepest self and doing what you are being called (calling yourself?) to do. I cannot imagine better parents for the little angel who is coming into the world through you! But, ya just GOTTA inundate us with pictures and cute “doings”—-ok?
Enjoy this special time, Joy! You deserve every miniute to do what YOU need and want to do.
Lots of love and hugs for all 3 of you!!

It all comes and goes faster than we usually think it will. Take your time. Enjoy every moment and every nuance. Children are only babies once and as each child is different right from the start you’ll never have what you’ll have this time again.

Blessings to you, your husband and your little one!

    Lots of love,
    Sandra

  14. avatar Phyllis Beever says:

Best of liuck! You will be a great mom. When you get cabin fever, I would be glad to babysit. You and your husband will need to re-connect.

    Blessings,
    Phyllis

Wow; thank you for this! It’s quite powerful to see someone so clearly embody what she has learned and teaches.

You ARE a spark. So while I’ll surely miss your weekly wisdom, I’m thrilled to know that you are meeting your needs beautifully — and reminding us to do the same.

    Sending you much love!! xoxo

I’m so glad that you’re following your heart and taking some time for yourself — that mindset will serve you well as you transition into caring for this new life :) Much love to you and your growing family — I hope that these last few weeks will be as comfortable as they can be (towards the end there usually feels like there’s just not much room left!), and that you will have a chance to nest and nourish your heart.

Thank you for all of the wisdom you have shared — I look forward to hearing more, whenever that might be :)
